Dress the Part
First things first
Shoes
Ballet slippers allow for a better balance of friction and ease of movement when dancing. If you are considering extensive training then shoes are recommended. Ballet shoes come in leather and canvas, split soles and whole soles, all of which are good options. The most most important factor is that you are comfortable. Jazz shoes are an alternative for dancers who prefer a small heel.

Bodysuits
Bodysuits also called leotards are a quintessential part to the ballet aesthetic. Sizing for bodysuits tends to run small and is mostly focused on the length of the torso. Some have built in bra support, while others don't.
Ballet Rosa offers more butt coverage.
