Biography

Born in Sudbury, Daphné (she/her) moved to Vancouver to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance at Simon Fraser University. While there she studied Graham, Limon and Cunningham modern dance techniques and worked under the tutelage of industry professionals such as Rob Kitsos, Judith Garay, and Megan Walker-Straight.

Daphné is accredited with the Royal Academy of Dance, and holds a diploma with distinction from the Teacher Training Program at Canada’s National Ballet School. The program included studies in dance pedagogy, conditioning for dancers, and anatomy amongst other topics.

Currently teaching in Ottawa, Daphné is a passionate teacher who loves a good pun, entertaining ballet music and sharing dance with dancers of all ages.
