Level Descriptions
THERE IS A CLASS FOR YOU
Beginner
Open to those who have never taken ballet and those revisiting the basics. It is is an in person drop-in class going through a ballet barre, port de bras, traveling steps, building up pirouettes and allegro work. Exercises are taught slowly and demonstrated consistently.
Steps are broken down and sequences are simple. Beginner should be taken before the Elementary level.

Elementary Ballet
Low Impact Elementary Ballet
Open to those who have taken at least a year of ballet and have an understanding of basic technique and vocabulary. This is is an in person drop-in class going through a ballet barre, port de bras, traveling steps, pirouettes and allegro work. Exercises are taught slowly and demonstrated consistently.
Sequences are more complex than the Beginner class.
Low Impact Elementary Ballet
The Low Impact Elementary Ballet class is designed for dancers looking for the joy of ballet but with less emphasis on strength and jumping. Great for dancers recovering from injuries, perinatal, returning to dance after a hiatus or simply looking for a lower impact class. There is a focus on artistry, coordination, and balance. Must be familiar with ballet technique. At least a year of experience required.

Mezzo Ballet
Open to those who have taken at least two years of ballet and have an understanding of technique and vocabulary. Dancers should be familiar and comfortable with pirouettes, assemblé, sissonne and balancé. This is is an in person drop-in class going through a ballet barre, port de bras, traveling steps, pirouettes and allegro work. Exercises are taught at a faster pace than Elementary and demonstrated consistently.

Intermediate Ballet

The Intermediate Ballet class is designed for dancers with extensive experience in ballet. The class is at the level of an RAD Intermediate class. Dancers must be confident with single pirouettes prepared by chassé pas de bourrée, balancés, pas de valse, grand jeté prepared by chassé pas de bourrée, assemblé, sissonne and jeté ordinaire.

Ballet@Lunch
Taught online, this class can be done from your home office or workplace. This level is appropriate for dancers with at least 3 years of ballet experience. The class will always include a ballet barre, pirouette and adage enchaînements and a minimum of two allegro enchaînements. The material is kept for a month.

Steps seen include : extended chassé pas de bourrée into pirouettes, balancé, assemblé and sissonne.

Advanced Ballet
A 90 minute ballet class with a focus on artistry and technique. Suitable for dancers familiar with extended chassé pas de bourrée into pirouettes or grand jeté, manège, and continuous chaînés and posés across the floor. Dancers must be capable of learning and retaining sequences of 16 counts and longer. The vocabulary extends beyond RAD Intermediate and aims to expand the dancers movement vocabulary. Every class goes through barre, centre practice, pirouettes, adage, and an allegro section.
