Dance in the Park 2026

Summer Performance

Sunday August 9th on the Andrew Haydon Park Bandshell

An informal performance to share short pieces in costumes to an audience of friends, family and park users.

4 rehearsals to learn and get performance-ready.

Rehearsal #1 learn the piece

Rehearsal #2 clarify and clean

Rehearsal #3 repetition is key for the memory

Rehearsal #4 full run-through of the show

Sign up for the dates and you will be cast in a piece. This is to ensure an even spread of dancers, abilities and a good fit for the piece. When signing up you have to be available for the whole two and half hour block and you will receive an email indicating which half of the block to attend for rehearsals.

While the repertoire has not entirely been selected, there will be pieces adapted from our 2024 and 2025 Recitals and there is a chance you perform the same piece again.

With less rehearsal time, the pieces will be simple in choreographic sequencing. The pieces will be shorter to ensure that what is presented looks good.

Videos will be provided after each rehearsal to facilitate reviewing at home.
